SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed regarding the large variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for intervention encounters a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
